If I had been more sure of my facts last year during apple pressing, I would have had more of our own apple vinegar. I hope next year we'll have more than enough of the home production vinegar for all our uses.

Christina, welcome. I do know about 5-minute bread, but thanks for the thought. For myself, I prefer the standard no knead method of bread baking.

TGL, thank you for pointing out that carrot greens are edible. I don't think I've ever come across that information before. Enjoy the escabeche if you try it.

Julie, anytime. Sorry to hear you're bowing out of the co-op. But I'll be following you on your own blog, so I'm not completely crushed.Katehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18017959421018964001noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7237633934633144064.post-50730140467760911622009-08-26T01:47:46.688-04:002009-08-26T01:47:46.688-04:00Yuuuum. We might put some in our salads, or one of our favorites is a light carrot top soup with celery, onions, carrots and carrot greens. Really light and delicate.

Love your blog.

DonnaThe Garden Lifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04357891468389927338noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7237633934633144064.post-76417419434241861782009-08-25T15:28:22.921-04:002009-08-25T15:28:22.921-04:00Hi Kate,

I may try it with an infused cider vinegar rather than a white wine vinegar as I'm looking for ways to increase vinegar usage and hence upping access to minerals.Sarah Headhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08975928642943693605noreply@blogger.com
